DCU scoop top prize at the ERA awards

DCU scooped the top prize in the education category of this year's prestigious Excellence in Recruitment Advertising (ERA) Awards. Now in their 12th year, the ERA awards set out to acknowledge Ireland's most innovative recruitment advertising and to reward those at the "top of their game" in the advertising and marketing industry.

DCU's nomination "Every journey of a thousand miles begins with a single click" represents a joint collaboration between Deirdre Wynter, DCU's Marketing Officer and DDFH&B/mindshare. Aimed specifically at the postgraduate audience, this is a simple directional advert designed to guide prospective postgraduate students to the University's website.

Deirdre Wynter stated that it was a great honour to receive such an award. "What makes this advert so effective is the simplicity of its message, and its use of strong colour. The "bravery" of this simple creative was in stark contrast with the nominations from our competitors, underscoring once again the confident and innovative nature of the DCU brand."
