Patrick Flood gives keynote address

Professsor Flood, pictured here on the left, recently attended a recently attended a British Academy of Management (BAM) Conference on 'New Perspectives on Human Resource Managemement at Kingston University'. He gave a keynote address on the extensive DCU research conducted by his team which links strategic human resource Management to organisational innovation and productivity. This research sponsored by the Equality Authority and the National Centre for Partnership and Peformance has gained a lot of attention in the media in recent months as it shows that the management of diversity and equality in conjunction with strategic HRM has positive benefits on the bottom line of the Top 1,000 companies in Ireland.
The conference focused on the theme, 'Challenges of Researching HRM'. Other keynote addresses were given by David Guest,King's College London; Tom Keenoy, Leicester University; Jaap Paauwe, Tilburg University, Netherlands. The differing perspectives of the four keynote speakers provoked some stimulating debate and set the scene for a wide range of other presentations and contributions.
