Tony Foley to give lunchtime seminar at Ryan Academy

Mr Tony Foley, senior lecturer in economics and Head of Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship in the DCU Business School, will give a lecture on Thursday lunchtime, 1-2pm, on the Irish Economy - past, present and future at the Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurship in Citywest.
You are invited to attend. Here are just some of his findings:
- even with a resumption of economic growth in 2011 it will be
2014 before the level of Irish economic activity measured in real GNP is
restored to the pre recession level of 2007
- consumer expenditure volume in 2013 will be much lower than
2007
- employment in 2013 will be 1.947M persons compared to 2.117M
persons in 2007, a drop of 170K jobs
- the cumulative decline in economic activity between 2008 and
2010 will be the worst of the advanced industrial economies
