Research Colloquium- September 2nd

On Thursday, 2 September, the DCU School of Nursing will host a
colloquium on the Marte Meo Method, which looks at moments of
interaction in daily situations between parent and child, professional
and parent, health care professional and patient, teacher and pupil.
The central focus of the method is to identify, activate and enhance
constructive interaction and development for the child, family, patient,
teacher, health care professional and therapist.
The Marte Meo method involves an interactive solution focused programme
which provides information to support developmental processes for the
child, family, patient, teacher, health care professional and therapist.
Dr Ingegerd Wirtberg, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology,
University of Lund, Sweden paper will focus on schools and families. Dr
Marit Bergum Hansen, Leader National Network for the Study of Infant
Mental Health in Norway paper will review the Marte Meo method in
relation to infants (0-24mths). Dr. Jean Clarke, Ms. Yvonne Corcoran
and Dr. Mel Duffy will present the initial findings of their study on
therapists and family’s experiences of the Marte Meo method.
