Two DCU students, Nuala Finnegan and Cormac Hayes, have received awards at this year's 'Undergraduate Awards' ceremony held in Northern Ireland.

The Undergraduate Awards is a national awards programme for undergraduates studying in any third level institution on the island of Ireland. Students in their final or penultimate year of a degree course submit essays/projects completed as part of normal coursework throughout each academic year for consideration under 20 categories. The winners are considered to be “Ireland’s top undergraduates”. The organisation also hosts a series of speakers events for undergraduates throughout the year, around the country. Past speakers include the founder of Bebo, the founder of XING, President Obama’s National Youth Director, and Senator Chris Dodd.
