DCU President, Ferdinand von Prondzynski hosted a special reception in Albert College for members of the DCU Educational Trust, Board of Trustees and Leadership Circle

On the evening of the 1 st of July 2005, DCU President, Ferdinand von Prondzynski hosted a special reception in Albert College for members of the DCU Educational Trust, Board of Trustees and Leadership Circle. The DCU Leadership Circle is a celebration of the generosity and significance of those donors who make annual contributions in excess of €1,000 each year to Dublin City University. The Guest of Honour was the US Ambassador to Ireland, James C. Kenny who provided the group with an inspiring speech on “Academic Philanthropy and the Culture of Giving”. Brian Hayes, Chairman of the Educational Trust formally acknowledged two trustee emeritus in attendance; Mr. Neil McCann (Fyffes Plc) and Mr. Paddy Marron (ex- Nestle Irl) and presented them both with timepieces by Waterford Crystal, for their enduring commitment and allegiance to the Educational Trust and DCU.

The evening was a huge success with over 90 guests joining us. The DCU Educational Trust looks forward to holding further gatherings for Leadership Circle Members in the coming months.
