Enterprise Awards at Queen's University Belfast

DCU students took second prize at the 2006 Student Enterprise Awards (Postgraduate Category) at Queens University on Friday 6 April 2006. Pictured with Celebrity Financial Expert, Doug Richard and BBC's Dragon's Den presenter, are Louise Kirke and Donal Foley of Dublin City University. Their company FonTic Ltd will create a paperless system of issuing tickets by electronically sending tickets to mobile phones. Louise and Donal began working on their project whilst studying Entrepreneurship on on the MSc in E-commerce and were nominated and mentored by Teresa Hogan (Lecturer in Enterprise Development DCUBS).

The competition was co-ordinated by Enterprise Ireland with sponsorship from Ulster Bank and Invest NI.
