International Society of Automation (ISA) Irish branch award to DCU physics graduate Ms. Jennifer Gaughran

Ms. Jennifer Gaughran, a recent graduate of the B.Sc. in Physics with Astronomy from DCU was awarded the Honours Degree Award of the ISA (International Society of Automation) Irish branch.
This award is presented annually to the best fourth-year Honours Degree student studying Instrumentation / Applied Physics in Ireland. Jennifer was presented with her silver medallion and the associated bursary of €750 on Wednesday 14th December in University College Cork.
The award is based on Jennifer's outstanding 4th year project work entitled "Centrifugo-Pneumatic Valving using Dissolvable Films" supervised by Prof. Jens Ducree of the School of Physical Sciences & Biomedical Diagnostics Institute (BDI) at DCU. Jennifer was nominated jointly by Dr. Enda McGlynn (of the School of Physical Sciences at DCU) and Prof. Jens Ducree.
Jennifer has now begun further studies towards for a Ph.D. under the BioAnalysis & Therapeutics (BioAT) programme in DCU.
