DCU sports teams to represent Ireland at European University Championships

DCU Men’s Rugby 7’s and DCU Tennis have qualified to represent Ireland at their respective European University Championships next month.  DCU Force were dominant in the Irish University 7’s Championships to earn their place in the competition that will take place in Cordoba, Spain from 14 – 17 July.  The squad is littered with a wealth of experience and flair and will no doubt challenge for honours amongst the best from Europe.

The DCU Tennis squad also retained their Irish University titles this year and the club have a good track record of participating at international level.  As well as competing at the European University Championships on a number of occasions, they also hosted the event in 2008.  The 2010 event will take place in Coimbra, Portugal from 25 – 31 July.
