25 March 2009

One of Ireland’s most successful support programmes for budding entrepreneurs will launch on Friday 24 April 2009 at the Invent Centre, Dublin City University. The Business-Start-Programme (BSP) is a six week part-time programme offering people with a business idea the chance to investigate its potential. The programme takes participants through the planning elements necessary for start-up business. It is aimed at people with a desire to develop a technology or knowledge intensive business with export potential.

“In the current economic environment, entrepreneurial activity is vital to nation recovery efforts”, said Maria Johnston, Operations Manager of the DCU innovation and enterprise centre Invent. “DCU is in a position to help aspiring entrepreneurs achieve their goal of setting up their own business.”

The Business-Start-Programme is a great springboard for those of you who have an idea that you have always wondered about. It is designed to fit around the working day and so sessions are held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings in Invent.
