Maire Geoghegan Quinn, European Commissioner for Innovation, will launch Ireland's first green economic zone, 'An tSli Ghlas - the Green Way', at an event in the Helix on Monday 22 November, 10.00am. 'An tSli Ghlas - The Green Way' has been set up and will be run by a powerful collaboration of experts from industry, academic institutions and local authorities.

Schedule for the event:
10.00am Commissioner arrives at the Helix.
10.10am Commissioner gives keynote address: "Investment in Research and Innovation - the path to economic recovery".
11.15am Commissioner meets key principals and guests: photo/interview opportunity
11.30am Commissioner departs

Photos and interviews will be available with the Commissioner and key principals involved in the alliance: Dublin City University, Dublin Airport Authority, Ballymun Regeneration Ltd and DIT.

Attending the event will be Professor Brian MacCraith (DCU); David Byrne, SC, Chancellor of DCU; Declan Collier (DAA), Ronan King (BRL), Professor Brian Norton (DIT), Dr Tony Boyle, Chairman, Steering Committee 'An tSli Ghlas - The Green Way'; Mr John Tierney (Dublin City Council); David O'Connor (Fingal County Council) along with other dignitaries from Dublin Chambers of Commerce, Local Authorities and the Diplomatic Corps.
