DCU graduate named as new Dublin Ladies Senior Captain

Cliodhna O’Connor, a graduate of the MA in International Communications, has been named as the new Dublin Ladies Senior Captain for 2011.

Cliodhna said “I really enjoyed my time in DCU. The support systems that you can avail of as a sportsperson or athlete can be hugely beneficial. 2 years on and I am still a member of the DCU gym.”

Cliodhna O’Connor brings over eight years’ experience to the Dublin team having first come into the senior panel back in 2002. In those eight years she has amassed a great amount of experience along with 1 senior All Ireland, 6 Leinster senior medals, 2 All Stars. She was also recently named on the TG4 Team of the Decade. Cliodhna goes into the history books as the first Dublin Captain to have lifted the Brendan Martin cup.
