Prof. Bin Liu, from Tsinghua University, Beijing, visits RINCE as part of an ongoing SFI funded collaboration with DCU

Dr Martin Collier, Prof. Bin Liu and Dr Xiaojun Wang

Prof. Bin Liu, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China recently visited DCU to work with his RINCE collaborators Drs Xiaojun Wang and Martin Collier on their research on Optimized Processing in Network Processor for High-Performance Routers. This visit was part of a China-Ireland Research Collaboration project funded by SFI and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. While visiting RINCE and the Faculty of Engineering and Computing, Professor Bin Liu presented a seminar entitled `Network Processor: Design Issues and Challenges'. The link between RINCE and Tsinghua University, established initially by Dr. Wang, is being continually strengthened. In January 2005, Drs Wang and Collier plan a return visit to Professor Bin Liu and his colleagues in the Laboratory of Broadband Networking Technology at Tsinghua University, Beijing.
