School children during the Week of Wonder

As part of the IEI's 'Engineered Week of Wonder' DCU hosted a very successful 2-day event for primary and secondary school children to encourage and develop an interest in engineering. The engineering building was the centre of all the activities that took place during the 22-23 February.

During these two days there were booked out workshops on building MindStorms robots and constructing a paper airplane to fly at 50 kilometers per hour but the interest in building your own car was the absolute winner.

There was even a Magical Science and Engineering Show presented by the IEI which thrilled over 500 school children.
