An exciting project - DCU in association with OSCE and University at Mitrovica in Kosovo
Building on the establishment of a University Careers Service, to develop a University Student Support and Development Unit in Mitrovica, Kosovo

In association with the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the University at Mitrovica in Kosovo, DCU Student Support and Development Unit and in particular DCU Careers Service is currently assisting in the development of a Student Support and Development Unit at the University in Mitrovica as well as for their outreach facilities.

Muireann Ní Dhuigneáin, Head, DCU Careers Service is coordinating the project on behalf of DCU. Last year, she assisted in the establishment of a Careers Centre at the University in Mitrovica, Kosovo, providing expert advise and guidance in the setting up of the Careers Centre. In addition, she visited several faculties of the University at Mitrovica, Kosovo, where she facilitated many workshops and seminars for students and staff. Located in DCU Careers Service, she hosted an intensive two week training programme for a member of the OSCE/ University at Mitrovica Careers Centre team and provided training for other staff while in Mitrovica.

This year, the project has expanded to include the establishment of a Student Support and Development Unit and currently, Mr Velimir Radicevic, is participating in a bespoke training programme in DCU Student Support and Development, organised by Muireann Ní Dhuigneáin. Dr Francesco Bigagli, Head, Higher Education Unit, Democratization Department, OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Prishtina, Kosovo - UNMIK, is visiting DCU to further develop the project and explore possible areas of cooperation and collaboration with DCU. Dr Claire Bohan, Director Student Support and Development and Muireann Ní Dhuigneáin will return to Kosovo later in the year to provide further onsite training and support to faculty and admin at the University and OSCE.
