Denis Carroll - Technical Director and Research Mentor, Citadel100, Karl Hennessy - Chief Operations Officer, Citadel100, Dr. Gabriel-Miro Muntean of the Performance Engineering Laboratory, School of Electronic Engineering at DCU, Mr. Ruiqi Ding the postgraduate researcher and winner of the IRCSET scholarship award and George Mc Donald, Technical Services Manager, Citadel100.

Citadel100 have just launched a new collaboration with the Performance Engineering Laboratory at DCU to research and develop a Pro Active Cooling Technology - "PACT100".

CITADEL100 are a member of the Keppel Group, and one of Europe’s leading and most innovative Datacenter owner and operators, specialising in designing, developing and operating 100% availability Next Generation Datacenters. The "PACT100" technology is designed to predict heat build-up within Citadel's Colo rooms and allocate cooling by utilising innovative algorithms for high accuracy and focuses on “Energy-Aware Networking" to increase the company'sPower Usage Efficiency (PUE).

This research is been conducted in collaboration with DCU, helped by the support of the Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology (IRCSET) Postgraduate Enterprise Partnership Scheme. Citadel state that this research is vital tool in addressing the needs of their client’s requirements for high power density and efficient use of cooling equipment through Continual Monitoring and Predictive Cooling. In reference to their partnership with DCU, Citadel announced, "we are delighted to have access to some of the best Scientific Minds that this State is developing. We believe that this collaboration will be the first of many more with DCU and hope that this will help increase awareness of the Irish Data Center Industry as a World Leader.”
