DCU Sport awarded the EIQA, Quality Mark

DCU Sport was awarded the prestigious Quality Mark from Excellence Ireland Quality Association (EIQA). This award recognises excellence in business processes, customer service, hygiene and management of the sports facilities. It is the first time DCU Sport has achieved this award and is one of the few sports facilities in Ireland to have achieved this accolade.

In the past four years since the new facilities were launched DCU Sport has achieved the White Flag for hygiene and the 02 ability award for service, access and leadership. Ken Robinson, Chief Executive of DCU Sport stated that the most satisfying aspect of the sports operation is the variety of people using the facilities and availing of excellent programmes. They range from local children learning to swim, the older adult, the heart smart programme, persons with disabilities to the elite athletes and squads. The fact that everyone receives excellent service from the team and feels comfortable in the one environment brings the ‘sport for all’ ethos to life.
