International Collaboration between Dublin City University and Capital University of Economics and Business, Beijing

A delegation from Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB), Beijing, led by CUEB President, Professor Wen Kui, visited DCU from 25th -27th April. The visit was planned as a follow up to a visit by DCU Business School to CUEB in January 2007, during which various forms of collaboration were explored. The delegation engaged in extensive discussions across a wide range of disciplines in DCU Business School. Significant progress was achieved in the development of collaboration in various teaching and research initiatives, and a formal Agreement of Intent was signed on 27th April.

The delegation was welcomed by Deputy President, Professor Anne Scott and DCU Business School Dean, Professor Bernard Pierce. A welcome dinner, hosted by DCU President, Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, was also attended by representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Dublin, Counsellor Lu Kang and Mr. Xiusheng Wang.
