DCU's Spring Graduates celebrate

Carol Friel, Aoife Coyne, Ciara O'Hanlon and Elanor McDonald who received a Master of Science in Multimedia

450 students graduated on Saturday, 28 March 2009, from Dublin City University. Family and lecturers watched on as the graduates were presented with their degrees by Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, DCU President. The ceremonies were performed in the "Mahoney Hall" in the Helix.

Cianan Clancy, who received a First Class Honours Business Degrees, was presented with a Chancellor’s Medal for his outstanding academic achievements and extra curricular activities.

Bernard Pierce, Dean, DCU Business School, said, ‘.  Cianan is a well balanced individual, he is personally ambitious and is an achiever, but has a very finely developed sense of his responsibility to direct a good proportion of his talents to the community.  DCU has been privileged to have a student of his quality. ‘

David Begg, General Secretary of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions and his Grandson Harry Begg. Mr Begg received a Masters of International Relations at DCU	James Stephenson received a Master of Science in Multimedia.
