Professor Ferdinand von Prondzynski, DCU president, will give the Keynote address at the one-day seminar entitled ‘Supports for Innovation’ seminar in the Radisson Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath on Thursday, September 7th, 2006.

The seminar, which is being organised in the framework of Techlink, an Interreg IIIB project established by the EC and involving partners from Ireland, France, Portugal and Spain, aims to promote a culture of innovation in the Border Midland and West regions of Ireland.

The Irish partners in the project, which include WESTBIC and the Border, Midland and West Regional Authorities, are hosting this one-day seminar, with various guest speakers discussing “The Challenges of Technology Transfer”, “Supports for your Business” and “Patenting – The Facts you need to Know”

It is envisaged that the seminar will be a very worthwhile day for all who attend, providing entrepreneurs with an opportunity to network with equity providers and patenting experts.
