Ryan Academy to bestow fellowship on leading entrepreneurs

The Ryan Academy for entrepreneurship is to bestow the honour of Fellow to the 1998-2006 finalists of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

An award ceremony will take place on Thursday 18th January 4.00pm at the Academy’s distinctive building at City West. It is expected that over sixty of the 174 finalists will be in attendance.

Denis O’Brien
Denis O’Brien Chairman of Communicorp and winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1998 will give the inaugural speech to the Fellowship and will be joined by fellow recipients of the award, Anne Heraty, CPL Group (06) and Aidan Heavey, Tullow Oil (05) where they will debate issues affecting the growth of indigenous companies.

The Ryan Academy for Entrepreneurship is Ireland’s leading centre for the development of entrepreneurship. In its distinctive building situated in the Citywest business campus the academy provides world-class programmes, courses and initiatives to assist and improve the management capability of entrepreneurs and their companies. The academy is a joint initiative between the family of Dr Tony Ryan and Dublin City University.
