DCU - representation of faith and belief in the media

DCU School of Education studies is taking part in a EUR3million project, funded by the EU which will examine social exclusion in education across the EU. This is the largest European project on education that has ever been undertaken and has attracted the biggest budget for research in the Social Sciences at European level.

Issues that the DCU team will look at will include class size, exam structures and learning support for students with learning difficulties.

Other participating countries will include Spain, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, Italy, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Lithuania, Holland and England. The researchers will analyse educational strategies that contribute to promote equality and promote social cohesion.

The five year research project will be used to inform policy at national and EU level.

The DCU School of Education Studies has research expertise that spans across a wide range of areas in education and training, educational evaluation including teaching and learning methodologies, curriculum development, training needs analysis, action research, e-learning and management and communication skills, values citizenship, pluralism and identity.
