Pat Cox, European Parliament President to attend FIONTAR event at DCU

The President of the European Parliament, Irish MEP Pat Cox, will launch the end of year presentations by DCU students of their own business plans. The event has been organised by FIONTAR, the Irish-medium centre for entreprise education at Dublin City University.

As part of the final year degree programme, FIONTAR students establish their own companies and develop business ideas. This year, they cover a wide range of topics: team-building, organic food, a new outlet for sunglasses, consultancy services for employee health, services aimed at the NCT.

Some FIONTAR graduates continue to develop the companies after leaving DCU. Two technology companies still in operation are Zamano and SUKA Technologies.
