DCU presents 'Engineered week of wonder'

To celebrate ‘Engineered Week of Wonder’, a programme of interactive events celebrating the world of engineering in Ireland, Dublin City University will be holding a two-day event on 22nd and 23rd of February from 10am- 4.30pm.

Children aged between 8- 14 years are invited to visit DCU campus and become an Engineer for the day!

Activities include:

  • - Build a MindStorms robot and teach it how to find its way around objects
  • - Make a paper airplane and then see it launched at 50 km per hour
  • - Who wants to be an Engineer Quiz
  • - Make your own car that moves using motors, balloons, elastic bands or solar power
  • - Discover the engineering and science in miniature medical test kits in an interactive workshop

DCU is encouraging both Primary and Post Primary students and their families to experience engineering and to consider engineering as a possible career option.
