Dr Bill Richardson presented with a Fulbright Scholarship

Dr Bill Richardson was formally presented with a Fulbright scholarship on Friday 11 June 2004. Bill is one of five scholars and 15 postgraduate students to receive the award in Ireland this year.
The Fulbright Program, which has as been running since 1945, fosters academic cooperation between the United States and other countries. To date over 250,000 scholars have received scholarships.
Bill will be based at the University of Colorado, Boulder, conducting research in the Spanish department, aimed at producing a second edition of this book 'Spanish studies: an introduction'. This second edition will include material on the countries of Latin America, while the first edition focused exclusively on Spain.
