GAA Scholarship Recipients 2001/2

1. Bryan Cullen
Skerries, Co Dublin
Club: Skerries Harps
Achievements: Centre back on Dublin minor football team that won the Leinster final in 2001. Captain of the Irish Schools u-17 compromise rules team that toured Australia in 2000. Eligible to play minor football with Dublin again next year. Member of the Skerries senior club squad.

2. Fergal Brady
Cullies, Cavan, Co Cavan
Club: Cavan Gaels
Achievements: Captained the Cavan minor football team in 2001. Member of the Cavan Gaels team that won the county championship and reached the Ulster club semi-final this year. Won numerous under-age championships with his club and school.

3. Niall Magennis
Beechgrove Lawns, Monaghan, Co Monaghan.
Club: Clontibret O Neill's
Achievements: Two senior and three minor county club championships. Represented Monaghan at all levels and won an All-Ireland B championship medal.

4. Paul McElroy
Castleshane, Co Monaghan
Club: Clontibret O Neills
Achievements: Played in goal for the Monaghan county minor team in 2001, runner up in the Ulster final. Member of the Clontibret minor team that won county championships in 2000 and 2001.

5. Gavin Duffy Keadue
Cavan, Co Cavan.
Club: Cavan Gaels
Achievements: Played on club championship winning teams at minor, u-21 and senior level. Winner of Ulster club minor championship. Represented Cavan at u-21 level.

6. Brian Lennon Donard
Co Wicklow
Club: Donard
Achievements: Leinster VEC championship winner in 1998 and holder of a county intermediate championship in 2000. Played minor for the county in 2000 and u-21 in 2001.

7. Brian Stokes
Clontarf, Dublin
Club: Clontarf
Achievements: Awarded Games Player of the year in his school, St Paul's Raheny, in 2001. Having represented his club at all levels he is currently a member of the senior squad.

8. Richard Slevin
Ballintogher, Ballybrittas, Co Laois.
Club: O Dempsey's
Achievements: A member of the Laois minor championship teams in 1999 and 2000. Won a minor county championship and is currently a member of the u-21 squad. Appeared in three Dublin college's finals with his school, Gormanston College.

9. Kevin Devine
Clontarf, Dublin.
Club: Clontarf
Achievements: Winner of Dublin and Leinster titles with Scoil Ui Chonaill. Leinster minor league and championship wins with Dublin. Member of the current Dublin senior and u-21 squads. Played with the Irish u-17 squad in Perth this year. Represented his club at all levels.

Hurling

1. Conor O Loughlin
Freshford Road, Kilkenny.
Club: Dicksboro
Achievements: Represented Kilkenny CBS at all levels up to and including senior hurling. A member of the Kilkenny minor hurling team in 2000. Played at all levels with his club and is currently a member of the senior squad.

2. Damian Maher
Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny.
Club: St Martins
Achievements: Leinster colleges' titles at u-16 Castlecomer CS. A member of the Kilkenny minor squad in 2001.Holder of u-16 and minor county titles with club.

3. Niall Ó Ceallacháin
Glasnevin, Dublin
Club:Na Fianna
Achievements: Leinster colleges'' senior hurling medal in 2001 with the Dublin Colleges' team. A member of the Dublin minor hurling team in this year and represented his club at minor and u-21 level.

4. Ciaran O Regan
Marino, Dublin
Club: St Vincent's
Achievements: Played with the combined Dublin colleges hurling team for two years. Represented his club at all levels up to u-21 in both hurling and football. Played minor hurling with Dublin.

Ladies Gaelic Fooball.

1. Eimear McGlade Arva
Co Cavan.
Club: Aughawillan, Co Leitrim.
Achievements: Captain of Moyne CS team that won Leinster and All-Ireland championships in 2001. Holder of numerous county club titles including 5 senior championships. Winner of junior Connacht and Div 3 national league titles.
