Staff and students of DCU have recently collaborated on a charity video project to benefit the Band Aid Trust. The project, developed by two members of the DCU societies community; Donal Mulligan and Medb Riordan, involved filming of lecturers, administrative staff and students who sang lines from Bob Geldof and Midge Ure's "Feed the World".

"We were delighted by the level of participation in the project." said Donal Mulligan, Public Relations Officer with DCU Societies and Publications Committee, "It was a wonderful collaborative effort and resulted in an entertaining and enormously enjoyable experience for everyone."

Featured in the project are prominent DCU figures, including President Ferdinand von Prondzynski, as well a huge group of enthusiastic staff and students who took to the stage in the Helix's Mahony Hall to sing the song's chorus.

The video was screened for DCU students recently, at a society christmas party and will be screened for staff this Friday, 17 December, at 13:00 in The Hub, DCU.

Admission proceeds from both events benefit the Band Aid Trust.
