Mentec International to supply new financial management software to DCU
4 December 2002

Mentec International has been selected by DCU to supply and implement the Agresso Suite of financial management software at the University. The contract was signed on Friday 29th November, by Martin Conry, Eamonn Cuggy, and by Dan Egan, Director ,Mentec.
"Our current systems are dated and provide poor accessibility to the key financial information that our users require. The Agresso system will provide budget holders and users with easy, real-time access to the information that they need, when they need it", said Eamonn Cuggy.
The project will cover:
- Management Reporting
- General Ledger and Budgeting
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Cash Management
- Asset Management
- Procurement
- Sales/Order Inventory
A major component of the project is the deployment of Agresso Web Services, which will provide users with access to purchase requisitioning, approvals and enquiries via the web.
The selection and implementation of Agresso is phase 2 of an overall project to provide integrated financial systems for DCU and its Campus Companies. Phase 1 of the project was completed in 2001 with the implementation of a new payroll system. The new system will be rolled out to over 300 users across campus, covering faculties, units, centres and campus companies.
