Talks given by Professor Swadhin Ghosh

The school of mechanical and manufacturing engineering are delighted to announce that visiting lecturer Professor Swadhin Gosh, GKN International College of Engineering, will present two lectures this week, 18-19 April 2002.

Professor Swadhin Gosh is the Director of GKN International College of Engineering. Prof Gosh is interested in placing DCU Intra undergraduate and mechanical engineering graduates within his corporation. GKN manufacture automotive components and 80% of all new cars contain drive shafts and universal joints made at GKN.

The first lecture will cover business excellence using GKN as a case study, covering products and processes and the organisation's structure. The second day topics will cover arrange of topics from manufacturing objectives and strategy to continuous improvement in manufacturing and assembly.
