Fiontar Students awarded €10,000 worth of prizes at Autumn Graduation

Up to 30 students from FIONTAR were awarded undergraduate and postgraduate degrees on Friday, 1 November. Awards worth €10,000 have been presented to FIONTAR students who had excelled in various areas of the two degree programmes following the recent graduation ceremonies.

The prizes are worth €10,000 and are sponsored by ABN Amro, Foras na Gaeilge, Conradh na Gaeilge and Údarás na Gaeltachta. The prizes included a €500 award to Róisín Ní Dhuibhir from Gweedore in Donegal for the business plan most likely to promote Irish. This was completed as part of FIONTAR's MSc in Business and Information Technology.

ABN Amro presented prizes worth €1,300 to students who excelled in finance. Foras na Gaeilge sponsored three scholarships worth €1,200 each and Údarás na Gaeltachta awarded €650 worth of prizes in the area of enterprise.
