Special Olympics 2003 Volleyball at DCU

This is the first time that the Special Olympics World Games have been held outside the United States and it is the largest sporting event in the world this year.

DCU are proud to be one of the 23 host venues, hosting volleyball competition in the main sports hall from 8.30am-5.30pm daily.

Competition dates are as follows:
Sunday June 22nd
Monday June 23rd
Tuesday June 24th
Wednesday June 25th
Friday June 27th
Saturday June 28th(finals day)

Entrance to the competition is free of charge with spectator seating for 300 people. All are welcome to attend.

Over 500 competitors will be staying in Campus Residence.

Special Events and entertainment will be held in the green area opposite the Hub throughout the tournament.

A special welcome is extended to all the athletes, organisers
volunteers and spectators of the games.
