Sponsor an Athlete

On Tuesday 25 March, the staff in the Business School building, Finance, Personnel and Registry held an all day fund raising event in the Business School Restaurant with the objective of raising €1,000 to sponsor an athlete for the Special Olympics. This event was a great success and we succeeded in raising enough to sponsor two athletes for this very worthy cause. Everyone concerned worked hard to ensure that we reached our target. Management Catering donated the coffee money from the main coffee break and the post graduate students also participated.

We have been assigned an athlete from Russia and one from Mexico who are participating in the womens' volley ball event which is taking place here on campus. We all enjoyed the fundraising event and can now look forward to supporting our athletes when they play here in DCU in June.

The event was organise by Bernadette McCulloch, DCU Executive Education, and Barbara Flood, DCU Business School.
