Forum for Media and Interculturalism donate raised funds
15 May 2002

The Forum for Media and Interculturalism took place here at DCU on the 21/22 March. The forum was not only a success from an informative point of view, but also managed to raise €1130 in registration fees.

The money raised has been donated to the Irish ReFugee Council, situated at 40 Lower Dominick Street, Dublin 1. One of the uses they are considering for the donation is the part-funding of a photographic exhibition which will be held in the Bank of Ireland Arts Centre this autumn, feature the work of Waterford based photographer, Margaret O'Brien Moran, who worked with Tramore's first ever asylum seekers in 2000.

The Forum for Media and Interculturalism is in the process of publishing a report and a website. We will keep you posted on further developments.
