DCU GAA Club Hosts Comhairle Ardoideachais AGM

The GAA Club in DCU hosted the annual general meeting of Comhairle Ardoideachais, the committee with responsibility for the organisation and development of Gaelic games in third level colleges throughout Ireland, on Saturday 25th September. Mr Sean Kelly, President of the GAA, and Mr Nicky Brennan, Chairman of the Leinster Council GAA attended the meeting.

Martin Meagher (Carlow IT), Chairman of CA welcomed all in attendance and acknowledged the role of DCU in organising the meeting. Topics discussed at the meeting ranged from fixtures for the forthcoming year, hosting of the championship competitions in 2005 and difficulties regarding eligibility of players. Peter Mossey (Dundee) reported on the development of Gaelic games in third level colleges throughout the UK.

Twenty-five third level colleges were represented at the AGM. DCU GAA Club wishes to acknowledge the support of its main sponsors AIB Bank and Snap Printing.
