The DCU Community Office is working alongside FAS to make the university more accessible within the local community. The Community Office in conjunction with Our Lady of Victories Primary School is running introduction to computers classes for under 12's. On Thursday, 13 June 2002, the boys from the most recent course were awarded certificates for their work on the course.

The five-week programme, taught by Margaret Keegan and Richard Ryan from the Community Office, covers email, the internet and basic Microsoft word functions.
