DCU was pleased to announce recently that three of our students will be taking part in the 2003 "Washington-Ireland Internship Program" (WIP). Carrie Tighe, a student of International Marketing and Language, is going to PR Company Susan Davis International, Laura McCrudden, a student of multimedia, is going to CNN and Nicola Corless, a student of Journalism, will be working for CBS.

A six-month program of personal and professional development, WIP begins and ends with practical services throughout the island of Ireland, and is built around an eight-week summer program in high profile offices in Washington, DC.

The Washington-Ireland Program is helping to prepare the next generation of Irish leaders. By selecting promising university and third-level students from North and South communities, WIP trains young adults to meet the future challenges of peace and progress.
