On Tuesday 2 April Gary Woods, sports complex attendant, challenged Jeremy Dixon and Adrian Kennedy of FM104 to a fitness test. Regular listeners to the station will be aware of the long-standing rivalry between these two Adonis'', and Gary felt it was time for them to put their fitness to the test. Nicky Hamill, programme development officer, managed the project and Gary Woods co-ordinated the fitness test.

So 10 April 2002 was their day of reckoning. The guys arrived relaxed, not knowing what was in store. The test consisted of a Bleep test (a timed running contest), and a ''strong man'' contest, with weights.

Gary said that David Beckham at one time scored over 18 points on the bleep test, but our hot DJ''s where a little off the mark here. Adrian Kennedy scored 6.8 and the victor Jeremy Dixon at this stage scored 7.1.

Not to be discouraged, Adrian Kennedy went first in the 'strong man' contest and although he showed determination, he was not to succeed. Jeremy Dixon was the overall winner, winning both stages, but at the end both men looked like they had been well and truly beaten.
