DCU students make it to the u-21 rugby

Jamie Heaslip, a Medical Mechanical Engineering student, and Johnny Wickham, a student of Business Studies, are team members of the current Irish Rugby Under-21 team who became the first northern hemisphere side to reach the final of the IRB U21 World Cup.
The Championship match was held in Scotland where Ireland played New Zealand, losing 47-19. The Irish coach, Mark McDermott, was positive after the match. Speaking of the future, he said, "We showed a lot of spirit out there today, and the lads have done marvellously well to get to the final, but on the day we were outclassed by a superior side. New Zealand had done their homework on us, but this tournament and this result is a sign of things to come for Ireland, we're all working very hard."
