Karl Grimes, School of Communications, has been awarded a Wood Research Fellowship by the Francis C. Wood Institute for the History of Medicine at the College of Physicians, Philadelphia, USA. His research will focus on the important medical collections at the Institute and the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia as part of an on-going art and science exhibition and publication project.

The Francis Clark Wood Institute for the History of Medicine was established in 1976 to enhance the rich historical resources of the College's Library and Mütter Museum. The Institute sponsors conferences, a seminar series and offers fellowships to scholars who require the use of the historical resources of the College's Library and Mütter Museum.
