Dr Eithne guilfoyle

Dr Eithne Guilfoyle has joined DCU as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. After graduating from UCD in 1979, she moved to Canada where she received a Masters and Ph.D. in Linguistics from McGill University. She held postdoctoral fellowships at McGill and at MIT, and was a lecturer at the University of Calgary from 1992 to 1998. She served as Head of Humanities, and Acting Head of School of Science and Technology at the Institute of Art Design and Technology in Dun Laoghaire. Dr. Guilfoyle's primary research interests lie in the areas of Syntax and First Language Acquisition.
