Nursing - a caring art

second year BSc nursing students
An art exhibition, displaying the work of second year BSc nursing students, is on display in the nursing building. The work, consisting of sculpture, painting and writing, was produced during the optional module entitled 'Humanities and Nursing'.
The module aims to encourage reflection on the complexity of the human experiences of health, sickness, disability and death and the finding of meaning, beauty and hope through studying the expression o these experiences in the arts and humanities.

- o Grieving, loss and disintegration
- o Being a patient
- o Experiencing caring
- o Finding, beauty, hope
- o The nature of nursing and caring
- o Using the humanities in caring practice
