Margaret Farren

Margaret Farren is at the cutting edge of research in her field while, at the same time, extraordinarily generous in sharing her knowledge and skills and giving of her time.

As a teacher she is supportive and facilitative and students flourish under her tuition. A specialist in pedagogy, Margaret practises what she preaches in her interaction with students. Much has been said and written about engaging adult and mature learners at third level, and here again, Margaret has exactly the right tone and mindset.

Like the best of scholars, she is also very open towards the ideas of her students and non-defensive in respect of her own work.
