All Ireland Success for DCU Student

Eoin Kennedy, a post-graduate student in electronic engineering, regained the All Ireland senior handball title when defeating Barry Goff (Wexford) in the 60x30 final in Croke Park on Saturday last. Regarded as one of the best finals in years, Eoin edged out his opponent on a score of 21-17, 21-16.Eoin was named Vodaphone Handball Player of the Year for 2002 and his most recent success is testament to his prowess and dedication in the handball arena.
Sean Óg Ó hAilpín wins second All Ireland Hurling Medal
Sean Óg Ó hÁilpín played a pivotal role in helping Cork to win its 29th All Ireland senior hurling title when defeating Kilkenny in Croke Park on Sunday last. Sean óg played a terrific game, especially in the first half and helped reduce the threat posed by the Kilkenny forward line. This is his second senior All Ireland success. Sean Óg is a former DCU student and was an important player in the development of the hurling and football clubs in the University. A graduate of Fointar, he is now employed by AIB Bank.
