DCU qualifies for Sigerson Cup

For the first time in its history, the DCU football team has qualified for the Sigerson Cup Final weekend. They beat Cork Institute of Technology in the second round match on Wednesday, and are now into the last eight of the competition. DCU will play this year's host, Sligo IT, in the next round on Thursday 21 February.

According to Tom O'Donnell, DCU's GAA development officer, the first half was the best display of skills seen in any Sigerson Cup match, and helped to set up the victory for DCU. Congratulations to all members of the team, and in particular to Dr Niall Moyna, manager. The final takes place on Saturday 23 February, so its fingers crossed for another win.
