Doing business with multi-nationals

DCU Ryan Academy will host a ‘Supply Connections’ event on Thursday 6th March where small female-led businesses will have the opportunity to find out how to do business with Irish-based multinationals and their buyers.  Attendees will learn about current procurement opportunities with Intel, Merck Pharmaceuticals, WE Connect and Ulster Bank across the areas of HR, recruitment, legal services, catering, medical and health services, marketing, merchandising, events, PR and media.

Guest speaker at the event will be one of the UK’s top female entrepreneurs, Laura Tenison MBE, founder and CEO of JoJo Maman Bébé.  Her company, offering pregnancy, children’s wear, toys and nursery products, has 46 stores across the UK, expanding at a rate of eight new stores a year.  Laura will give a motivational talk on her experience of organically growing her business from her home into a multi-million pound enterprise.

Other speakers will include Joan O’Shaughnessy, Vice Chairperson and Special Advisor at ARAMARK Ireland, the country’s largest integrated services provider supplying facilities, food services, environmental and property services.  ARAMARK Ireland employs 4 000 people across 980 locations.

The event will take place in DCU Ryan Academy, Citywest on Thursday 6th March between 9:45am and 12:35pm.
