Jen O'Hara

Jen O'Hara, Head of Learning and Organisational Development

Jen is an dedicated Organisational Development professional with over 17 years of experience in leading, designing, and delivering Learning, EDI, Talent, and Leadership development strategies on a global scale. She has developed deep expertise in Cultural Transformation, EDI,  Learning, Leadership and High Potential Development, working with numerous organisations to foster and sustain high-performance cultures through Organisational Development practices.

Jen's career spans various industries, including Professional Services, Clinical Research, Healthcare, International Rail, and Retail. She has crafted comprehensive HR strategies and advocated for organisational development through bespoke programmes, executive development, and the creation and implementation of Performance Management, EDI and Engagement Strategies.

Jen holds a MSc in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from Dublin City University and a BSc in Psychology with Human Resource Management from MMU Her professional qualifications include certifications in Coaching and Mentoring, Action Learning Set Facilitation, Lean Six Sigma, and various psychometric tools such as Lumina Spark, Insights Discovery, Emotional Capital Report, and Hogan assessments.

Rachel Power, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Manager

Rachel Power, EDI Manager

On maternity leave from Oct 2023. 

Rachel’s background spans the non-profit and private sectors, including roles across: 

  • Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA)
  • Human rights
  • Rule of law
  • Social impact
  • Strategic partnerships

Rachel manages the strategic and operational elements of the University’s EDI vision and commitments.

Lorna Greene

Lorna Greene, Dignity, Respect and Sexual Misconduct Response Manager

On maternity leave from June 2024

Lorna has a background in social activism and campaigning, bringing extensive experience of working with grassroots groups to the DCU EDI Unit. With a professional history in health policy, Lorna is passionate about:

  • Evidence-based approaches
  • Reflecting best practice
  • Person-centred outcomes
  • Ensuring that policy reflects lived experience

Lorna is always keen to hear directly from DCU staff about their experiences, thoughts and ideas related to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Joanne Mulligan

Joanne Mulligan, Athena Swan Officer

Joanne brings a wealth of experience in international development, global citizenship education, and equality, diversity, and inclusion. She has worked in the international NGO sector, Irish charities, and higher education. Joanne joined the EDI Unit in April 2021 following six years in the non-profit sector both in Ireland and abroad.

While working across all aspects of our EDI work, a key part of Joanne's role is leading DCU's Athena Swan journey, including providing support to individual schools and units in attaining Athena Swan Awards. Joanne also project manages the Women in Leadership suite of initiatives and other EDI projects as the need arises. Joanne supports with wider DCU People projects, including policy development.

Joanne holds a BA in Economics, Politics, and Law and an MA in International Security and Conflict Studies from Dublin City University, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Equality Studies in Training and Development from Maynooth University.
