Pursuing our Gender Action Plan
Since receiving the renewed Bronze Award in 2020, we’ve implemented a structured programme management approach to ensure we can achieve our ambitious gender action plan 2020 - 2024.
With Athena Swan’s new intersectional approach, DCU will also focus on ensuring equity for other key areas that intersect with gender, including:
- Race
- Age
- Disability
- Sexual orientation
A new Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team (SAT) recently led on the self-assessment process to develop an application for a Silver Award. The outcome of this award will be announced in September 2024, and the 2024-2028 action plan will be available then.
