Papers

The presentation of the papers will be strictly limited to 20 minutes which will be followed by a 5 minute question/answer session. The presentation should be delivered using PowerPoint. During the presentation, the practical relevance of the work to engineering must be clear. In this regard, an original piece of scientific work should be complemented by an indication of the potential for improved engineering design and the implications for manufacturing. The presentations will be assessed using the following criteria:

  • Presentation - quality & communication skills (25%)

  • Scientific Content & Technical Merit (35%)

  • Innovative Approach (20%)

  • Industrial Relevance (20%)

Posters

Each poster presentation will be strictly limited to 3 minutes followed by a 2 minute question/answer session. The posters will be judged by the presenting students with prizes awarded to the top three.
