Biographical Details

Mary Kingston is an Assistant Professor in the School of STEM Education, Innovation and Global Studies, lecturing in the area of mathematics education. She received her Bachelor of Education degree from St. Patrick’s College in 2012. She recently completed the Master of Education programme in Dublin City University, specialising in mathematics education. She is currently undertaking a PhD under the supervision of Dr Aisling Twohill (DCU), Dr Siún Nic Mhuirí (DCU) and Professor Merrilyn Goos (UL), exploring the probabilistic thinking of young children in Irish primary schools. Mary is a member of the Centre for the Advancement STEM Teaching and Learning (CASTeL). Prior to joining DCU Institute of Education, Mary worked as a primary teacher in North Dublin.
