Dr. Enda Donlon is a lecturer in the school of STEM Education, Innovation and Global Studies at the DCU Institute of Education, and is currently (2018-2020) president of the Educational Studies Association of Ireland (ESAI).
Enda mainly teaches on the use of ICT in teaching and learning. He has a particular interest in Web 2.0 technologies, Virtual Environments, Content Management and Information Architecture, and Open Source technologies for education. He is module coordinator for such modules as 'Teaching and Learning with Web 2.0' and 'Learning and Teaching in Virtual Environments'. He is a member of the steering group for the National Institute for Digital Learning (NIDL) Digital Learning Research Network and for CREATE21 (Centre for Collaborative Research Across Teacher Education for the 21st Century).
Enda serves on the CESI (Computers in Education Society of Ireland) National Executive, and has worked with the NCTE (National Centre for Technology in Education - now PDST Technology in Education) on such projects as Digital Schools, Scoilnet Blogs and Online Names. He is the winner of the DCU President's Award for Innovation (Academic and Research) 2014. He was a finalist for the Jennifer Burke Award for Innovation in Teaching and Learning 2014.
